The opening concert in Jordan Hall on November 14, 2005, featured Schuller's Fanfare (1986) for twelve trumpets, Perpetuum mobile (1948) for 4 horns and bassoon, Conversations (1959) for Jazz Quartet and String Quartet as well as transcriptions of Ellington's Daybreak Express and Cottontail, and Rodger's Blue Moon.
